The Brief
- Kilchoman are the first new distillery to open on Islay for 100 years. This unique place in the market meant that the first five years of their production has caused much excitement in the whisky community. This has created a loyal and enthusiastic customer base.
- The aim of the website was to build on this loyalty, increase their brand presence and increase online sales.
The Website
- The website is fully responsive, meaning it automatically resizes to according to the device it is being viewed on.
- The Kilchoman Team can update content on the blog, add new events and edit all content.
- The shop is fully integrated with the site, so all editing is done from within the same admin interface as the rest of the content.
- Branded invoices are automatically generated to enable the team to easily print it off and send out with the order.
- The Kilchoman Club gives members access to new releases and rewards them with exclusive products and discounts when they buy online.
- Automated messaging to allow the system to update members on potential discounts and rewards, depending on how often they buy from the store.
The Outcome
- On the morning of launch over 400 people joined the Kilchoman Club.
- The site now receives over 20,000 page view per month.
- Online sales have continued to increase.
